Its been quite a time for Victoria with awards going to a whole range of our local favourites.
The Goring Hotel was given a Michelin Star and well deserved too. Kouzu just opposite the Goring was given an award for the best Sushi chef. Being so new this was a remarkable achievement and we can also vouch for the quality and wonderful atmosphere of Kouzu - well done. The Corinthia is perhaps not that close to Victoria but we include it in the patch as its just so darn good. They won the AA Hotel of the year 2015! Finally, Uni restaurant - a Japanese/ Peruvian fusion in Belgravia got on the list of London's Coolest from Misstraveltips.com. Sharing the honours with Chiltern Firehouse - not bad!

Former Gaucho managing director Martin Williams is to open his second M restaurant, in Victoria in December.
The restaurant, members’ club and wine store will be located in the Zig Zag Building. M will include two restaurants – M Grill and M Raw. M Grill will specialise in steak, while M Raw will feature tartares, sushi and sashimi. Williams said: “After such a successful opening in Threadneedle Street, I have been searching for the perfect location to open a new venue. Victoria stuck out as the area which is becoming London’s most exciting creative hub. The demographic of residents and workers in Victoria suits our brand perfectly; it’s a location in which I am sure our multi-faceted venue will thrive.” There will be a downstairs bar and a wine store. Right beside Jamies and Iberica - the M restaurant will fit in brilliantly and its another great option for the local workers and residents. |
